Blackbox Studios is a creative environment that offers state of the art recording technology alongside expert musician management, booking, and promotional services.  Located in Edmonton, Alberta just off Whyte ave, every aspect of Blackbox Studios has been carefully designed with the musician in mind.  The artistic décor, which consists of theatrical lighting, captivating murals, and other modern artwork, lends itself to the creative process. The relaxed feel of the place enables musicians to feel at ease in the studio environment.  

Featuring simultaneous analog and digital recording, inventive soundproof construction, and a uniquely comfortable atmosphere, Blackbox is a recording facility that is capable of handling the needs of any musician or group.  Blackbox Studio’s 2500 square foot area has been optimally utilized with more than one hundred lines running from its multiple recording areas.  The concept of ‘room inside room’ construction has resulted in many different options for recording. The studio is equipped for live off the floor tracking with either Studio A, a large centrally - located live room, or Studio B, a dead room which doubles as a rehearsal space, available for full-sized groups. There are various other rooms available for tracking including the isolated amp and keyboard rooms.  Blackbox Studio’s elevated vocal booth is positioned behind the engineer’s and producer’s desks so as to create a sense of privacy and confidence.
